Exposure Factors ( 5 relationships you need to know kVp, mA, s, Bucky, SID)

Показать описание
Exposure factors (kVp, mAs, Bucky, SID) and their relationship to the exposure measured at the image receptor are critical to achieving high quality x-ray imaging for all of your patients. We focus on each of these factors first in terms of overall importance and then in terms of the relationship to x-ray exposure.
This is the basis for our x-ray math for the Detector Exposure:
Exposure ~ kVp^5 (15% Rule)
Exposure ~ mA
Exposure ~ s
Exposure ~ 1/B
Exposure ~ 1/SID^2

We then solve for the effect of these factors on the time of an x-ray exposure as that is the most frequent way that the exposure is updated on an x-ray system.
Finally we look at some sample problems where we change one exposure factor at a time, maintain the exposure on the image receptor.

Your videos are a brightness(Density) in my dark world. I have my exit exam coming up followed by my ARRT boards. I don’t think I’ll pass but I know by watching your videos I’ll understand and improve thank you

Watching in hopes that I can get help at my new clinic! Preset techniques are way off and admittedly I’ve never been good at manual techniques (still somewhat new grad)

Very interesting content, Thanks for taking the time to explain. I do have a question if it is allowed. I have been increasingly disappointed with X-rays taken of my lower back that has extensive metal implants form L2 down, main problem is very poor visualization of the bone. In a recent flex extension set my Doctor asked for clear imaging of the Spinus process bones so any slight movement could be detected but no matter what we do with contrast they are not visible. Can the Radiographer change the settings to get better imaging of the bones?

Your stretching your explanation unnecessarily.
Few intro then come to the point, i prefer sir.
