Problem is that radio is not part 90 (LMR, PLMR) or part 95 (FRS, MURS, GMRS). Therefore it can only legally be used on the Ham radio bands in the USA.
Thought you should know before buying a pile of them and finding out you cannot use them legally for what you want.
My professional suggestion is get a GMRS license and some GMRS radios because Ham radio really is not suited well for this type of use.

Unless you're using this on amateur radio frequencies, and everyone you want to talk to also has an amateur radio licence then this definitely isn't the radio for you.
