** Why the "Includes paid promotion" message? **
According to german laws everyone has to mark their videos as advertisements as soon as there's a single "subject relevant" product, tag or link in it. Even if you didn't get paid for making that video. Sounds confusing and it really doesn't help the viewer to see which is a paid review and which isn't.
--- The line of truth: Is this actually a paid review? No it isn't but I have affiliate links in the description box. (I update this line for every video).

Loving your Tele tones and playing, Kris.

1. Half-cocked-Wah into a pushed Plexi ( think MS during his UFO years), 2. Scotty Moore’s echo during his Sun Record years, 3. Strat neck pickup into a TS pedal into a cranked Super Reverb, 4. Boss SD1W into a Mostortion (when adjusting the pedals less gain is more. Done right, the transients will blow your mind), 5. Deep drippy Phasor into a slightly broken up amp ( Think Nazareth- Love Hurts). 6. Compressor into a Boss CE2W Chorus into a Boss DE2W delay.

I'm totally with you at Fuzz into overdrive plus volume-knob.
I really dig classic blues/rock tones too, just guitar into plexi oder plexi-like pedal.
And sometimes some ambient pedals are great. Love playing big, ambient chords and forget everything around 🤯

Great video! For me it’s that clean ej fender reverb, thick ej lead, Duane allman tones, edge delay

Si Si Amigo!! As usual your playing is superb and I'm with you as far as tones go. I usually have my Boss Reverb/Delay always on just for a lush tone, my Echoplex for solos, a T.C. Electronic Chorus Pitch Modulator and Flanger pedal for some color on occasion, depending on the gig...a variety of Overdrives and my Thorpy Fallout Cloud for the Fuzz. Thanks for sharing your inspiration brother. All the best to you!

You’re a legend Kris! “For me; Edge of Break up;” Triangle Fuzz, LovePedal Tchula, TC Zeus, Cali76 into Nobles ODR-1 into amp. All, except the Comp., running 9-volt batteries

Hey Kris, beautiful tones. Do you have more info to the sound in the outro? It‘s a bit like Blue on Black sound. I like that. thanks!

My go-to tone is my cranked Vox AC-10 with Volume almost maxed, gain around 11 o’clock and a tc electronic Zeus in front just if I need this little bit of extra push. For 90% of the time I go from crunch to clean just with my volume pot (thank you Kris for your videos on 50s wiring, that really opened my eyes) and no pedal engaged at all. With Singlecoils, I like to add a compressor as well. But honestly, I could sell all my other pedals and would not miss a thing - BUT I need the Fryette power station that helps so much in managing the volume of my cranked amp.

I made a comment once about how a good guitar tone makes you play better and some knucklehead said “no it doesn’t, practice makes you play better”…there’s always one of those out there!!!….btw…Kris, you are the king of tone😎

My favourite tones basically evolves around either Treble Booster or Fuzz.

Amp on full (idealy non master volume Marshall type), treble booster on full, guitar on full and instant Black Sabbath tones. The dynamics is endless, when you turn to your amp, you have that lovely feedback, when you turn away, the feedback slowly fades and you have huge posibilities with pick dynamics and volume swells. But its very hard to play, there is no room for error, everything goes out oudible.

Nice OD pedal hitted with Treble booster. Classic rock tone, easy to play, sounds very good and it is possible to achieve it at almost any volume needed.

Fuzz. Well what to say, exactly as what you have in your video.

Clean tone with loads of reverb (my way of adding sustain to clean sound), those Peter Green like sounds are so nice to play.

Tape Delay, with tape that is barely recording something. Super LoFi, super warbly, but super fun.

Hi Kris :) The Kot sounds awesome, but I like cleans as well with a bit of compression.
My ideal rig: Boost, Reverb, Delay, Comp, OD (not necessarily in that order), not forgetting Tremolo and a Volume pedal for better control and swells...
Cab sims can add a twist, particularly if you don't want to hawl a truckload of Marshalls ;-)) Cheers !

Great tones and great playing as always. I mostly enjoy distortions, delays and, reverbs. I mostly use modulations to make songs sound as the original records but when I jam or I’m noodling enjoying the sound and the moment I could enjoy a good clean with compressors and reverb or overdrives distortions with delay and reverb. I love to combine overdrive and/or dist pedals. I build pedals myself so the pedals I’ll mention are not originals but clones I’ve built. I’ve build over 50 different overdrive and distortion pedals. Among my favorites are the KoT specially the high gain side with 250k gain pot, Nobles Odr1 moded with bass pot, 1981 drv, amp 11, protein, dude, lightspeed, revv g3, palisades. And there are many others I like a lot. I also build my tube amps. It’s fun!! Thanks.

Eric Clapton with cream live at the Fillmore! Duane Allman live at Fillmore East! My favorite Kris tone is when you use your Mesa BoOgie mark three! 🌞🌞🌞🤜💥🤛

Since I am not a big fan of modulation I liked the first one with the KOT best. I played along with my cheap NUX Ace of Tone and I am wondering if this is a clone of the KOT since it sounds very the same.

That “Say what?” moment made me laugh so hard! Not because you hit an unintended note. But because you picked out ONE out of all your killer playing. I can pick out WAY too many in my own playing in just one song! 😂 Time for me to start practicing more. 😎👍🏻 Absolutely killer tones as usual, man!

I love this conceit for a video. Think I'll have to make my own using my gear. Because I definitely have 5 tones that I default to for inspiration.

My favorite tone that I achieved is my Epiphone Sg into Fulltone Ranger Treble booster into Nobels odr mini into my vox ac30. Guitar volume on 10 is so honky midrange
On 8 and 9 it's Angus Young and Tony Iommi.
On 7 It's Clapton.
This setup is so dynamic and versatile and it's only two pedals, guitar, amp!

Overdrives usually do it. My fave one happens to be an obscure japanese TV Tanabe Dumkudo

Speaking of tones, i'm trying to find humbucker pickups that when split would sound like a telecaster. And im having a pretty hard time, most pickups i've tried just can't do it properly, so i'm starting to think it's impossible, but i havent lost hope yet. Haven't tried stuff like SD Invader, Black Winter, Pegasus, etc., so i'm hoping those might be closer to what i'm looking for. Just need those tele+humbucker sounds in a single guitar

Another fantastic video Kris 👏 I have a question if thats ok: do you have a treble bleed in your tele? The clean up as you turned down the volume on the fuzz was amazing. The tone somehow got brighter, which is usually the opposite of what happens. Or is this something specific to that fuzz?
