I feel like the clone wars made Dooku far too sinister in the movies he served the separatists and the dark side but he still had a conscience and only left the order cause he believed there was no salvation for the order of the republic not because he was evil and wanted to seize power

It’s clear that they can hide their dark side features at will, Palpatine does it the whole series until the very end and he’s obviously FULLY dark side.

Count Dooku probably just chose to hide it 24/7 to keep up his reputation as a regular jedi/politician. Anakin probably showed his because he was BRAND NEW at dark side shit and probably wasn’t yet taught how to mask it.

Palpatine also hides his yellow eyes all the time. Part of it is that since Dooku was in the political light a lot of the time he hid them to avoid suspicion.
The other is I think Dooku didn't so much embrace the darkside as he used it as a tool.

He wasn't a sith becouse of a crisis
He saw the bad things in the republic and the jedi and wanted to learn more

Okay you are wrong the dark side did not f*** with his face in fact when he fought master window and used his Force lightning, Master windu blocked it with his lightsaber and it his face up. Now regarding the yellow eyes yes you are correct

I thought Dooku never had Sith eyes. I saw him as a Double Agent who's true loyalty was to The Jedi And to Sereno (his home world). He was loyal to his new alliance with The Seperatists. But, I believe he was hunting The Sith Lord called Sidious. That was why Sidious had him killed by his Replacement.
He was a Jedi Grand Master, afterall. Maybe he thought HE was the Chosen One? Maybe Dooku intended to report back to Windu one day after getting Proof? Windu talked highly of the Fallen Master. But why? Windu also put his lightsaber against Dooku's throat. But Windu didn't kill. Why? Why was there Respect between these two? Because Dooku was a Double Agent for The Jedi. Maybe Windu asked him to spy on The Chancellor?
