They did not adapt. The ones that were that color survived more often and reproduced more.

I just LOVE all kinds of lizards, they are soooo cute. Wish people would keep their dumb cats inside so they wouldn't bother them. There's a chemical that makes cats sick, so should not eat them anyway! Funny how I love lizards but NOT their legless cousins, snakes!
