What You Need to Know About the New Indoor Heat Illness Regulations & Workplace Violence Prevention

Wine Institute, California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance (CSWA) and California Association of Winegrape Growers (CAWG) hosted a webinar featuring a presentation by Ogletree Deakins to learn about the new indoor heat regulations for employers that are now in effect. California's Office of Administrative Law (OAL) has approved new regulations to address indoor heat illness prevention that require employers to take action when indoor temperatures rise above 82 degrees and further steps at 87 degrees. Ogletree Deakins also provides an update on the Workplace Violence Prevention Plans (WVPP) that already should be in place as of July 1, 2024, and the general industry workforce violence prevention standard that will be finalized by December 31, 2025.
