I am a 13 year old girl who has not fully matured yet. When you tell us to do things sometimes we don’t full understand/ comprehend it the first time. If you yell at us, it gives us adrenaline, confusing us, and our brain. We start stressing, trying to figure out what to do, and while that’s happening, you were yelling at us and we cannot focus on what we doing.

Today, I almost almost broke my limit while trying to be responsible and grown up by pouring something hot into a bowl. My mom kept yelling at me telling me “that’s not how you do it you have to lower the pot lower the pot!!”, but the pot was literally banging against the counter and bowl. Ended up pouring it anyways, after almost spilling it on myself. My mom yelled at me and I went upstairs. After she had left the room I went into the kitchen and sat there crying. All I wanted to do was something good and I was yelled at. *I only wanted to help out.*

I understand things can be frustrating sometimes, but we need to learn how to not let our anger get the best of us, and think of it as taking care of a toddler. Teach them step-by-step.
