Ben discusses how Washington is still operating as if it’s March 2020. Only 6% of federal employees work from an office full time, and a third are fully remote. The new administration and Congress are going to ensure that federal workers return to their desks. He also talks about the left calling DOGE unconstitutional and illegal. Additionally, Ben details the 2020 census and all the errors and mistakes that took place.

Multimillionaire complains about work from home as he sits in his air conditioned studio

It's good to look at this comment section and see that despite clear partisanship Ben's audience does not automatically adopt the beliefs and opinions of the thought leader. This needs to happen more often. Refreshing to see.

He needs to stop his obsession about remote work. Remote work is good

As a conservative who works in the federal government in D.C., this is a bad take. Having a blanket, in office policy requiring people to be in the office regardless of job responsibilities or tasks makes absolutely no sense. There are ZERO metrics showing that mandatory in office work has increased output efficiency within my agency. In fact, people work more when they can work from home without needing to take hour long commute on the DC metro in and out of the office. My in office days are in fact less productive because I have to engage in unwanted chit chat with my coworkers rather than being able to focus on my work.

I completely disagree. Working remote is a solution to the government spending, not a problem to eliminate. The government buildings that we spend billions in our taxes maintaining can be sold off or rented out. Let them all work from home, remotely track their productivity, and get rid of the excess personnel that are needed to run these government buildings.

Heaven forbid we allow flexibility for workers. Billionaire bought Ben shilling for his funders again.

Sorry Ben. Working remote is not in itself bad. My company closed our office and work remotely and we are more productive now. The problem is not remote work, but the level of productivity. You are either doing your job or not. If you are not doing your job, whether remote or not, you should be fired. If workers are remote, the government should reduce the office space and save as much money as they can on rent and utilities.

This is garbage. I am a veteran and a federal employee and I can tell you that my team works far better in a remote status than wasting three to four hours a day commuting to DC. When an employee is commuting such long hours, there is no work productivity and less family-life balance. Families do not need parents to be working 8 to 9 hours a day at their jobs and then tack on an additional 2 to 4 hrs a day commuting. This is insane and it is not reflective of a family environment. And lastly, to those that say that feds should move closer to DC, have you seen how expensive homes are in the DMV area?

Here's a shocker...people who work from home and don't work ALSO don't work in the office.

When we were sent home for COVID, I, for one, had to invest nearly $1, 000 in infrastructure to be able to do so; now, 4 years later, after successfully working remote all those years with no incidents whatsoever, some old, outdated men in Washington say, "You have to come back now." Excuse me?

I'm more right wing. Wouldn't it be more conservative to keep people at the house and save money??

Wait, why do we have a problem with remote working now? Why not just get rid of the buildings and stop spending $16 billion/year on them?

Ben this is like your third bad take of the week

Any job that could be done remotely SHOULD be done remotely, and then DOGE can get rid of 70% of the offices to SAVE that money. No reason to make ppl come to an office if they dont need too.

This is not an issue Ben, stop trying to make this an issue

It shouldn’t matter where you’re working from as long as the work is getting done

As a federal employee there are jobs that have 0 need to be in person. There are a lot of benefits to remote work in those instances. You can downsize government building size and reduce upkeep which saves money. You also have a higher talent pool to choose from.

Day 1: mass retirements of a huge brain trust
Day 2: mass quitting of smart young people
Day 3: mass hiring of subpar new people who can't get remote jobs
Day 4: blaming the employees when things get worse
