as a practicing Catholic. I really admire how honest this question is brought about. if you are humble to yourself enough, you'll realise it's OK to question. it's very natural. I still question, but doesn't mean I'm going to push myself down for it. I hold firm on what I believe in, but its OK to question God with anything, if its sincere.

Tony Iommi is such a legend!! I have seen black sabbath in 2016, I didn't grow up with them and have only known "iron man", "war pigs" and "paranoid", but damn this man has such a huge presence on stage. He stood there playing his guitar and you instantly knew that this guy is a master guitar player. There are a lot of talented and great players, but his performance was so special, as if he stood in a shiny light of epicness, I will never forget this performance, since then I'm a big fan of BS

I don't see why this is attracting so much attention from religious people - this video literally said, the song's about someone who DOESN'T believe that God is dead and is trying to show otherwise. The song ITSELF, for crying out loud, says "I don't believe that God is dead." Twice!
But then again, it hasn't historically been very hard to attract such people on YouTube.
And for the record, I am a religious person - I just bother to listen to the lyrics of songs.

This song was NEVER anti God like many may have thought. In fact, as Geezer said, its about the fact that God is very much alive. Those that listen to the lyrics carefully catch onto this quickly. War Pigs is another ...not Satanic at all, but opposite. Its talking about how the Devil LOVES war basically. Ozzy is sneaky brilliant on his messaging.

i first used the measure faith God gives every man when i was at the end of my rope in 1980. The lord answered my prayer & Saved me in that one short prayer e.g.. "all who call upon the name of the Lord will be Saved" i was & still am, after i walked with the Lord of a while i learned i could TRUST the Bible & Jesus... it's all good friend ! Honest... :-)
