As a long-time Mortal Engines fan, the cities themselves are called Traction Cities. The name Mortal Engines refers to the Municipal Darwinism = Evolution narrative

Always wanted to see mortal engines in SE, wonder what it would be like if there was a server where anyone could join, there would probably have to be lots of mods controlling everyone

That Engine with the statue on top might be Rio de Janeiro, I think the statue is supposed to be Christ the Redeemer.

mortal engines books have good story and characters, and the physics of it is only mildly flawed. While the first movie adaptation has many good reasons to have been a huge financial failure.
it makes more sense to assume that these cities move much slower. like an aircraft carrier that rolls on saturn5 transporters.
it makes more sense to assume that they have a high tech power source, and that the cities to not run on steam power, as they surely have better construction materials than steel and concrete.

I honestly wanna see if someone will make a chernobyl/ safe confinement engine bc I believe that would be cool to see on this server in a fight!

i have a wicked idea for a Nomad ship but it would need drilling to be allowed to work and would likely go over the 3 grid limit unless subgrids for stuff like hinges doesn't count towards that limit anybody Remember the Virgil vessel from the movie The Core? ^^
