Honestly, you can never compare the 2 cuz when we come to think of it we really don't know each of there power levels ! Zhongli actually hides his true power and so until we know his true power in action we can't say anything. However, being oldest of Seven he have more war experience but Riaden have better war equipments and technique like Mosou Ishin and Mosou No Hitotachi ! So I think we really can't say much !

the real Raiden shogun's can't kill abyss in one hit, so we can say that the character we got from Gatcha is just a sample of the power of Raiden shogun.... By looking at this we can also say that we got sample of Zhongli's power, which means a sample of Zhongli's power can take all attack from the real Raiden shogun... Imagine full power of Zhongli....

We havent actually seen zhongli at his prime since the archon war was when he was already 4000 years old and ei is currently 2000 years old
Also when Ei was fighting against her puppet for 5 centuries it wasn’t her physical body but her will. She wouldn’t last that long in a real fight.

Edit: I’ll go with 2500 since Barbatos is 2700 years old and he is second oldest

Finally someone solved this debate with reason and not just dumb simps led arguments, every thing you said is 100% true, also an honourable mention, while ei managed to cut an island, Zhongli created islands with meteorites so big that even after thousands of years of deterioration and natural causes still form some of liyue's largest islands till this day!!!

For the current situation, I think Ei will win. Zhongli's rusty and Ei has been racking up experience in the last 500 years and racked up even more experience from fighting the her puppet for centuries. Her being in a puppet basically removed erosion for her while Zhongli has been tanking that shit. Although I will still say that Prime Zhongli will slap most op characters in teyvat.

it's clear that Zhongli considers himself vastly weakened and no longer on a godly level in any sense, most of all power. In his prime, Morax was the strongest of all, but it seems he utilised his gnosis to maximum effect also. However Ei has always ignored the Gnosis and relied on her own strength, has been getting stronger the entire time, and the loss of her Gnosis makes no difference to her power. Ei was probably a tough fight for Morax in his prime, even if he would have won in the end. Ei would win now for sure

Where did the notion that morax is the strongest archon ever come from. That has never been stated. Plus he’s a god that while he did fight he focused on building the economy and commerce of Liyue. While Ei as a god focused on building the military and martial art culture of Inazuma

The last time I checked...Ei's Musou Blade can slice through anything...even sliced from Mt. Yugou...went through Kannazuka Island...up to Yashiori Island killing all along it's path...including Hibike Asase's Army, ...Gen. Tonnazou who killed Gen. Sasayuri, ...& even their God Orobashi...ending the war in just a Single Slash.

So even Zhongli creates Meteorites or Multiple Stone Missiles...all of it will be obliterated by a single Slash cause it's all made of Earth & Geo just like the Islands...Zhongli may Summon a Fortified Battle Armor Suit for him & surround him inside a Multiple Layered Geo-Earth infused Rock Armored Dome Barrier that may weaken Ei's Lightning Blade...but still...

Remember that Ei sliced through Yashiori, Kannazuka, Seirai, & Narukami which are all Landforms, including all the ocean waters in it...& even Electro Elemental God Being which is Kana Kapatcir...so we all know that Ei can slash anything not just because of Electro...but because of Time-Space manipulation like her Plane of Euthymia so she actually have a Dimensional Blade Slash that even the Cursed Flames of the Crimson Witch can be sliced through.

Here’s the thing. Zhongli is way past his prime, and Ei is currently in her prime so if you’re talking about a duel between them right now, Ei would definitely beat him. Another contributing factor is that Zhongli has given up his role as archon and gnosis(yes I know Ei doesn’t really have her gnosis but she is incredibly strong even without it).But maybe if it was a few thousand years ago, maybe Zhongli would win. But it’s really hard to tell since they’re both really really strong and would put up a great fight. They are definitely two of the strongest characters in genshin lore.
