Springs on MERCEDES-BENZ C-Class Coupe (CL203) (03.2001–05.2008) / MERCEDES-BENZ C-Class T-modell (S203) (03.2001–08.2007) / MERCEDES-BENZ CLK Coupe (C209) (06.2002–05.2009) / MERCEDES-BENZ CLK Convertible (A209) (02.2003–03.2010) / MERCEDES-BENZ SLK (R171) (03.2004–02.2011) cars should be changed, as a rule, according to one and the same procedure.
However, there can be slight differences due to specific features of the vehicle design.

4:39 — Install the spring on the shock absorber.
6:03 — Install the shock strut into the wheel arch.
7:06 — Tighten the tie rod end fastening bolt.
8:28 — Screw in the wheel bolts.

Thanks for the video. The thread was nowhere near top mount after compression. Then video cut to threading top nut on. How did you get the compressor grips on the top coil of the spring under tension. How did you get that last few inch? That is the hard part where I am stuck. At least show the entire hard bits.

hello, thanks for the video. the strut nut socket size is 14mm correct? i can only seem to find 22mm strut nut sockets

Is it possible to increase the height of the front of W203 using spacers?
If it is possible, any link to how to do this and the tools/equipments needed?

The torque wrench is clearly heard to click, and yet the mechanic continues to turn the bolts after the click! Also, the use of copper based grease is not recommended between steel and alloy. The copper causes an electrolitic reaction creating corrosion.

Was ok but bit to much bits coming up on screen especially when moving the brake cables all was a bit quick
