I remember this run off, and I was so pissed they went with the Raptor. The Raptor just looked so bland and status quo to me. The YF -23 may have had some shortcomings, but I think I could of been worked out.. one thing for sure is it looked very wicked, and something out of sci-Fi

Except it demonstrated neither of those factors in trials. It's windshields cracked at Mach 0.8 and they couldn't get it past 50k feet nor Mach 1.8. It flew like a geriatric old man and couldn't carry missiles. Barely able to turn

Meanwhile the YF-22 carried and fired sidewinder missiles, pulled 9G turns, and was photo'd at 60 degrees angle of attack.

YF-22 brought it to the flight trials. YF-23 said "trust me bro" and then broke it's windshields

I have loved this plane since day one and was severely disappointed when the F-22 was chosen over it. Gorgeous in every way possible.

but the only problem was the missile capacity, f22 raptor had more storage than this plane, yes, f23 was stealthier and faster than f22, still didn't beat f22

So true politics was the reason why the Raptor was chosen. The Raptor beside the YF-23 looks like a plain run of the mill jet.
The YF-23 IS BEAUTIFUL, SEXY, SINISTER AND DEADLY. and looks like it's coming after you with a chip on her shoulder just daring you to knock it off, and just looking at her inspires confidence. The YF -23 would have lived up to her name as the WIDOW MAKER to anyone who dare challenge her.
