Reviewing Katia yarn brand from Barcelona Spain. It was founded in 1951, can you imagine making yarns for over 70 years? Well, have you ever heard of this brand?

polyamide is added to sock yarn for durability. wool is the best natural fibre for socks as it antibacterial. my cotton socks smell at the end of the day, my wool socks dont, not even after 3 days. cotton absorbs the water, but also hold on to it. when I hike, during a break I take shoes off and wool socks dry much quicker. also because cotton absorbs and holds on to moisture, I get blisters wearing cotton socks.

I absolutely love Katia yarns :) My favourites are Concept by Katia called Pure degradé it's 100% pima cotton so so soft :) and fluffy, I also like a lot their Tencel Cotton mix :) very silky soft

About the first yarn you reviewed, my crochet teacher (and owner of the shop where I buy my yarn) told me that that yarn is better fit for knitting since you do not lose the stitches. Crocheting with such yarn is very hard or almost imposible because youc ould never find the stitches

You can use the faux fur yarn for a border on stuff instead of a full garment xx

Hello, a little while ago I discovered you and I congratulate you on your woven masterpieces, however I will tell you that the Katia brand is Catalan (Barcelona) and by a distributor he told me how 3 years ago the Alice brand and others had them made to Turkey. And last year as the next productions (all) their wool was made by Turkey, realizing that they could save many costs and earn much more money for the owners. I was going to open a wool shop and courses for people who suffer loneliness and I asked them for the catalogs of last summer I used this winter as well as the costs of each wool buying them wholesale - and I was left with the desire! - because it was a waste, already tease, being Aragonese next to Catalonia and To make matters worse, they and I Spanish who are supposed to help each other. Now he informed you that your production is made in Turkey, you are paying the owners of Katia 2 times more !.
