If they've gone that far out of their way to be away from people and worked so hard to keep nature as undisturbed as that, leave them be. They are being better stewards of nature than even the forestry people.

Hi I'm a homeless veteran and i live in similar surroundings i live in the shawnee national forest I'm continuously harrasd by park rangers and game wardens . My camp is kept spotless no trash no were i don't bother or harm anything yet i cant even live there in peace i was ran over and crushed by a drunk driver im perminately disabled i recieve873 dollars a month disability social security it's all the income i have. I can't afford pay utility's rent pay for food and gas and insurance and still be able to eat. The state say i make to much money to get food stamps. It's crazy i travel from camp to camp to try and keep the rangers and police off me. Im 54 i didn't ask for any of this i was ran over by a drunk. Worked my whole life never asked anyone for anything. Now my life is reduced to this. I'm getting to were i just about don't care anymore. This is no way for anyone to have to live.

I built a cabin like this 8 years ago way out in the woods and I still go to it. As far as I know nobody has ever been there. It is a good time I take my son now. Biggest thing if you do this is don’t leave trash and don’t cut a ton of trees down.

It's more fascinating than creepy. The only thing that's creepy is that authorities won't leave these people alone.

Only thing "creepy" is that we can't even go miles into the forest to get away from people who think they have the right to tell us where and how to live our lives! Get your own lives and get TF out of ours!

What I find disturbing is with all the homeless people they are worried about this guy . I have seen multiple videos like this and they all try to demonize this type of behavior . How dare this person disregard his duty as a slave to the government ! See that is what his real crime is . Because even if he were homeless in the city they could recieve subsidies for that . It would give them even more reasons to rais your taxes .
I think they should bring back free land homesteading. That would help the homeless problem . This man was a fine example of how it is done . Clean and respectful.

I wager they disassembled their cabin and hid the pieces nearby, then found a new spot deeper in the woods in an ever more isolated area. They carried all their stuff there, rebuilt the Cabin, and are sitting in it right now writing another manifesto.

Maybe the person just wanted isolation from everyone...Maybe a getaway..Who knows... many people out there are too judgemental these days. Matter of opinion. 😄

Typical of the government, the only thing that person was doing wrong was getting in the way of the logging, who writes the laws? The government, who says we have to pay taxes? The government, then anyone who breaks these written laws is a criminal according to “ the government”, probably some poor bugger who’s fed up with the system and being told what’s right and wrong by “the government” those who want to live off the grid should be left alone in their own happy world, I for one am envious of the courage of that person to go it alone and get away from the laws of what we call our modern society.

The squatter had infinitely more respect for nature than the homeless bums in Concord, NH. Those bums leave needles, trash, broken furniture and literally tons of litter.

It's not creepy at all, it's wonderful. Whoever built that cabin is a good person, and I wish that they are living in peace where no one from the government will find them.
