Literally just had one come in the shop. Diesel engine completely shot at 148k miles and evidence of flooding all in the trunk. Buyer beware

If you want a great deal now is the time. A lot of these cars barely got flooded.

Salvage yards like Copart are common and you know something is wrong with the car if it was salvaged. But there are dealers who will re-sell these vehicles on their lots without disclosing the full history. At some point when the insurance company is selling the damaged cars to dealers the history is altered and try their best to get a clear road worthy title. I will not mention car dealer names but overall you have to be extremely careful buying cars from FL, specially used. I know someone in GA bought a car from offLeaseOnly and after 2 years nothing but electrical problems. Mechanic proved that the vehicle was flooded i its previous ownership and then basically was sold next to nothing due to issues.

I have seen 90 percent of those cars go through a showroom. Sad

Cascade Auto in Portland Oregon bought a bunch of these and kinda sorta fixed them up to sell, but they lie about how bad the water damage is. They should be put out of business!

I hate it that they don't make it impossible to remove the flooded branding on titles.

Part them put. Millions of people are ripped off by auto parts everyday.

Where to buy this cars apart from copart

There are various salvage yards and dealers that report to various reporting agencies. I suggest that you get two primary sources when buying a used car. One from typical paid services like Autocheck, the other source may be acquired through a free VIN search like VinCheck.info . That way, you may consult another source to fill in the gaps that the other is missing, vice versa.

if u guys are so unhappy regarding the false water damage claims, do research - its because of the world economy+car market, and how to deal with this massive accumulation issue because more people than u guys think are unwilling to damage may not be problematic right now, but later down the road it it creates massive health and safety risks
