Really, why would an Xbox Handheld be successful against Switch 2, Steam Deck 2, Handheld PCs and maybe even a Sony PSP/Vita 2?

Steam deck lover here. Dude, did you just say that the ROG isn’t yet optimized? Even the most avid steam deck lovers admit that in terms of optimization, the new ROG has surpassed the steam deck. They still love the Deck for other reasons, but in terms of optimization, they give it to the ROG hands-down.

By they, I mean YouTube creators that have channels dedicated to handheld gaming.

Convenience & Fun, well said. All i do is anymore is play on my steam deck and switch. I have steam OS, Xbox OS, PS5 OS and Nintendo. Handhelds are the future, imagine if Xbox drops a native Xbox OS handheld with GTA 6 on it. Take my loot!

Personally, I'd love an Xbox handheld. Most of my current game library is on Xbox.. and its all because I couldn't find a PS5 for two-years, and... just a lot of hesitation in double-dipping on Steam... My Steam library is not as large as my console stuff.

I think handheld is a big mistake and if the next console isnt a pc hybrid then im moving on to pc i want all these cool looking games that never come to console i want to mod more of my games im tired of not maximizing my fun anymore because of having to own and operate a cumbersome pc isnt the case anymore im more and more intrigued in these mini pc's because i travel alot and console just made it easy but now i can get a form Factor mini pc and finally move on from console

Xbox can NOT even compete with standard consoles like the PS5,

it's will Microsoft bother to compete hardware wise with Valve.?

I don't think an Xbox handheld holds any appeal for anybody outside of the Xbox ecosystem.
