The OLED is brighter too. So it would be even better at a like for like brightness level from a NITS perspective.

If you already have a LCD one there is 0 reason to upgrade. Would only recommend for someone who obvious doesn’t have a steam deck yet. It’s just an upgrade the performance is basically identical. Battery life is one of the big components. The 90 hertz and Oled is awesome but not many games you get to 90 hertz. Max 60 on a lot.

The Oled gives me just about 4 hours exactly with a fully modded Fallout 4 capped at 40 fps

if you care about cinematoc feel try lowering the brightness to achieve nits between 100-150 most people max out 250nits and above for sdr. 100 nits should last the battery alooong time even for CP2077

Im fairly optimistic someone is going to sell a shell that will let us fit the new battery in with old deck internals
