Nice to have a dealer that will work with you, let you film and even work together on the install. Well done.

Jerky starts are just part of owning a ATV/UTV with a CVT that has to engage the belt to get started, just part of it and rarely can be improved without affecting another area of operation with the clutch. How do I know? 21 years of CVT clutching experience.

The thing I don't like about the primary clutch kits is they change the spring to a much higher rate spring and then increase the weights to try and make it work. What they don't tell you is that extra spring pressure will wear those plastic weight carriers much faster than normal. I have a 22 Cforce 600 and what I did to get the effect you are looking for is to replace the primary clutch spring with a lower rate spring using the same stock weights. The stock spring has a 200/400 rating part # 0951-1013, I switched mine out a spring rated at 120/400 part# 0951-1008. This gives quicker upshift at lower rpms but keeps the stock upshift rpm at full throttle. So at 5000 rpm cruising with steady throttle I gained about 5mph vs what it was with the stock spring and I likely decreased wear on the weight holders.

#1 thing I took away from this video is that your pond is looking awesome. I bet you'll be getting some great action out of it this summer. (not to take away from the main purpose, the pond in the background just really stood out)

My 1996 Polaris 500 Sportsman has always had a smooth CVT. I’ve only had to replace the belt once. Same factory weights. Can’t speak for the new models but my 28 yr. old machine has always been smooth.

I did have the clutch kit replaced after seeing your first video. Mine got better, especially in reverse, but still have a little jerkiness. Still, I love my UForce 1000 and could not do the work on my ranch without it. Even my dog loves going for rides in "Buzz". I also got the new windshield, but I got the power version so I could adjust through the full range of openings. It was my wife's Christmas present and she loves it!!!

I have CF 1000 overland, I got primary and secondary clutch kit. Primary kit smoothed out starts a lot when clutch was warm. Secondary spring raised RPM across the board as it's supposed to do to get higher in powerband, More power but less gas milage. Not needed on a 1000 cc machine on real trails. I'm taking secondary back to stock

Thank you for you concise video and honesty. we have a UForce 1000xl. I find it worse in reverse and H, was thinking about a clutch kit, now I have to think harder about it. I am reading the the reprogramming of the ECU is a good fix for the jerky ness. but I feel this was an informative and well produced video. Thanks.

I have a 23 UForce 1000 that has the same jerky problems. I put in a clutch kit from RNG Performance. I just did the primary spring and weights. It helped but didn't completely fix it.

I really like the 1 piece flip up. I have the 2 piece flip up from Super ATV. It's ok but a little breezy in the winter. It looks like the 1 piece seals up a lot better. Dave

Nice to have a dealer to work with. That is always number one for equipment. I am still rocking a 2000 Kawasaki Prairie 400. My dad bought it new. I bought it from him 8 years ago. The carburetor is annoying, but once I figured out to use 100% gas it has been fine. I often want a new machine, but I look at the price and think "my old machine still works just fine." I use it for hunting and for pulling a small trailer around my property.

My 2024 UForce 1000, is terrible when it comes to the jerkiness. Before I change out the clutch kit, I am getting a ECU flash first. There is a notice from CF Moto, addressing the jerkiness. We'll see if the ECU flash helps.

Thanks for the transparency Adam! I have a 2023 cforce 500, the low is jerky but I guess it’s just something I’ll have to get used to, overall great machine other than that!

I have over 2000 miles on my original belt of my CF600 and still looks really good high and low gear is very important. The only thing I've noticed is it's dropped a few Miles per hour on its top end belt is definitely starting to wear.

Good video Adam. I really appreciate the honesty you provide in your reviews. It tells me a lot about you as a person. I understand the dilemma. My small channel gets to review products from time to time and I always tell the company that I will review their product, but it will be a totally objective review. I recently turned down an offer because they said "if you find any problems please contact us before you publish your video". That spoke volumes about their business.

One thing to keep in mind some quads and sxs going to an aftermarket belt can help with that feel / jerkiness, with the weight and material they made of but that’s a lot of trial and error

A belt & clutch will always have some jerkiness when first engaged. Compare this to the Honda automatic transmission in their side by side and you still made the correct decision. Belts are a cheap replacement compared to a full transmission. My RZR 1000 has some jerkiness as well. Every manufacturer drives different to some extent. That’s why they make them for everyone’s budget.

Happy trail riding!
