I have owned my 450MT since July, I have 2000 miles on it so far, I have fitted a 15 tooth front sprocket which makes the bike cruise easily on motorways, I have the both the low and high seats, I use the low seat when going off road for the day as I love having the complete foot down confidence it brings, and the high seat for touring and I can still get both feet down. The bike feels more like it has 60hp than 42hp, and can easily overtake most things, I came off a Tenere and much prefer the 450MT, the snatchy throttle for me was cured by taking the slack out of the cables, but it is a thing, hopefully a fuelling map will be released. Accessories are really cheap as are spare parts on the Uncle Wang website. I don't think this would be a great 2 up bike as that would asking a lot, but 1 up with luggage is fine. I average 70mpg which gives a range of 270 miles to empty, I can easily do 220 miles before the warning light comes on, I can cruise on motorways at around the limit!!! all day if I needed to, I just try not to if I can help it. The only thing that lets it down are the service intervals, 3000 miles or 12 months, 3000 miles on this bike can be done in no time, I will keep the warranty for the 1st year, but after that if nothing terrible has cropped up on higher mileage bikes I will self service from then on. There is a guy who has done 25000km on his and had no issues at all.

I tried one 2 up, and have ordered one as a replacement for my DL650 that I rode around the world. Now need something lighter, so I can keep riding into my 70’s

In Australia, there is a place doing a remap of the ECU to fix the throttle and gain a little more power. I have heard that there is an update, which you download via your phone that may address this issue. You can buy a better bashplate from CFMoto, or an aftermarket one. Don't forget you can get the high front guard and a bigger windscreen if required. There are people that swap out the front sprocket for a 15T for the highway. The benefit for the whingers that say the 195kg weight is close to the Tenere, so why would you buy this? The simple answer is that you are not lifting the bike off the ground, you're only standing it up. The Tenere is top heavy, where the weight of this bike is lower, so is a lot easier to stand up.

Had mine since August. 1600 miles and loving it.
Not bought specifically for off-road (my experience is an instructor guided day in the Peak District on the smaller, lighter well prepped Honda CRF250).
This is my smallest capacity bike (others are 690, 900, 750) and IMHO perfectly capable of travelling on with some bags slung across the back, and enough capability to take you off-road (depending on ability and confidence). 15 tooth front sprocket mod knocks about 400 rpm off I hear making it a little less buzzy for higher speeds.

Engine is characterful enough that encourages a bit of fun on the throttle, and quite nimble on the road even with the 21" wheel size. Bigger physical size and 195 (ish) wet weight is IMHO an advantage when on the road. Weight feels quite low and on the whole well balanced so you don't feel the weight. You might get fed up if you drop it more than a few times in a day though. :D
173cm height here and the 820mm seat height is about spot on for me to flat foot. Taller/long-legged people - get the rally seat. I could be tempted for more leg room and long distance comfort.
About 68mpg, which is neither brilliant or awful, but the 17.5l tank gives me plenty of range. When you're used to only 110-150 miles from a full tank, 250+ miles range is a new experience. :)

Not for everyone, I get that (what is?). Personally, I'm getting plenty of smiles out of this bike already. Sales figures and lack of available bikes indicates this model has an audience, .and I'm always getting approached and interrogated by genuinely interested people about this bike where ever I go. :D

You need to be sentenced to ride only a 411 Himalayan for a year. Then you'll have a different appreciation of how much power you really need on the road most of the time. 😆 Back in the day Triumph 650's were only about 45hp and they were considered to be very powerful. NOTE:- Where I live the base T7 is $20, 300, CRF300 Rally $11, 995 and 450MT is $9990, so there's a huge degree of room for the forgiveness of a few quirks. In three years you'd easily have had your money's worth.

10:37 The curb weight is NOT 175, but close to 195. 175 is the dry weight.

Cool review. I bought one.

Not only does the bike connect to a Cfmoto app to show where you over revved, the distance completed and fuel prediction.

Your music can be controlled by the function switches. I know. I'm impressed. Volume up & down. Album select.

I know - I know, but I was a kid that had a transistor radio as the ultimate technology in the 80's.

And geofencing that deactivates the motorcycle and calls the police, Sir.

The jerky throttle at low rpm has been corrected with the latest fueling map, according to reviewers in Australia and Portugal.
And that map is downloadable, at least in those 2 countries. Check with your dealer.

175kg is dry weight
Wet weight is 194/195kg with a full tank of fuel

any rider looking at the resale value for an adv bike is not going to use it for “adventure” if resale value is on the top of list when buying a motorcycle then just stick to street bike/sport bikes from known brands

CF Moto is a good brand. Very good. Back in 2016 at Shanghai Stock Exchange, the company rolled out record after
record becoming one of the most successful Chinese brands internationally, with 2023 revenue record exceeding the 13 BIn Yuan
(+ 27%). the company kept the rolling growing trend, reporting global sales increase by 23% and hitting the fifth all time record in a row, with 128.849 vehicles sold in the World (around 40% in China and the rest in near 100 countries). So yeah. Cf Moto is very good.

Just phoned the Sydney dealer and of course, none available for sale but they (assuming for Australia) have 180 orders waiting to be filled with the next consignment due in 6-8 weeks. Looks awfully like a runaway success and I bet they are stealing T7/Vstrom 800 sales. Amazing what happens when a manufacturer actually listens to the market. They deserve the success, Japan asleep at the wheel for 10 years.

Over here in NZ we find a lot of older guys are swapping their GSs and Teneres for the 450MT because of the size and weight.

Terrific review, I am considering one of these as my next purchase to replace my ageing V-Strom 650, the difference in weight will be noticeable I am sure.
One of the attractive things is the 4 year warranty which can't be argued with.
Thanks for your hard work on the channel.

I’ve toured on this bike 2 up with luggage and it performed beautifully. It’s a small capacity engine so it isn’t ideal for long freeway stints

Your reviews are fantastic!
Please make comparison video between Himmi 450 and CF Moto 450MT.
