Hi dr Anthony,
I’m a student who studies biomedical sciences research at the university of KU Leuven in Belgium.

It’s my first year and to be honest i had no idea how to study and where to begin with! I spent almost every single day at the library 8-9 hours of studying.
However when i took my first exam which was microbiology i realised that something went wrong with my study technique! And immediately i started doing research about it! then i came across to your Chanel/podcast and as far i have i have gained a lot useful knowledge!!
I’m going to to follow your techniques!
Thanks much for doing this:)

I love the statement that Universities should recognize us as customers, too. Leaning on them to provide better service. Thanks so much!

Thank you so much, yesterday i memorisied a table of 32 Elements (8 Emotions and Triggers, Action, Function in just 3 Minutes. )
The learning and the recall were so vivid, like the information was the most natural thing in the world. (it felt like some natural high).
I connected the 8 emotions to 8 way points and around these way points i linked the other 3

Anthony Metivier. You have made me aware of 2 dunning-Krueger types of traps I was falling into One was relegating my entire learning and memorization process to SRS software like anki and using a mediocre form of encoding information while thinking I was using the most effective solution out there. The other was closing myself to anything other than Zazen as a form of meditation. So for that I'm thankful, your book The Victorious Mind was terrific for me.

Summaries make so much sense. Fabulous video. I love how you credit other authors like Barbara Oakley. The mini SWOT analysis makes perfect sense for something that I am memorizing. This video is very helpful. And, it spurred me onto some of your other videos. Just in time

That made me laugh when you said, Old professor She is not that old That was so funny and I'm sure she would not be offended.

I just asked the ChatSonic AI about studies that examines what some of the positive effects that mnemonics has, except for the obvious one (ability to recall detailed information):
"For example, a study conducted in 2019 by the University of Barcelona found that the use of mnemonics resulted in significantly higher levels of creativity among students compared to those who did not use mnemonics. Additionally, a 2012 study by the University of Arizona showed that mnemonics improved focus and attention span in individuals with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Overall, mnemonics have been found to have a positive effect on creativity, focus, and attention span.

Do you have a exercise or video on making past memories or future visualizations so real that I can "feel" the emotions to the point of changing my emotions just from visualizing?

Hi Anthony. I am 10th grade student. Its hard for me to remember informations like dates, literature and specially Biology. But there are different subjects and many topics. So I am having difficulties using memory palace or visualization.
How should i memorize things related to Biology, history, literature, study? What technique should i use? If i memorize those normally, they don’t stay in long term.
Please tell me how i should study or memorize.

Do you still schedule using a book, or do you use digital tools and calendars?
