I read a paper on male contraception recently, apparently testosterone works, but is not very effective alone.

When combined with a progestin, it is pretty effective, but unfortunately companies aren’t interested because it doesn’t get them money as it’s out of patent.

Please make a follow-up discussing options like HCG to reduce the risk of infertility in treatments to increase testosterone, men who seek treatment should know they don’t have to give up being a father for this.
