The old CT90 hasn't been ridden much in recent years, but I just put on a new back tire and wanted to wear the nubs off. Well, I had to push start it to even get it running and then it wouldn't idle. I could smell the nasty stench of varnish and old gas when I was down near the carburetor. Hence, I knew we were returning to the garage for carb removal and detailed inspection. It was a mess inside the float bowl and the the idle circuit was completely blocked. After a good cleaning and float level adjustment, it starts on the first or second kick and idles nicely. I installed a new throttle cable since the old one was heavy on friction, and it moves freely now. Honda still makes the throttle cable!
