I'm 22.
The first stickman video I ever watched was Chuck vs Alfa back when I was 11, over a decade ago. Stick War quickly became my favorite flash game, and I'd play it any time I went to my cousin's house where they had non-potato internet.
I delved into the stories of Umbrella, Fllffl, Fordz, Hyun, and the like, all on stickpage of course. I played the classics like Combo Factory, Stick RPG, (for WAY too long) Rediculas, etc. And watching all the classics, S(t)lush Invaders likely being my favorite.
Eventually Stick War 2 came out, (or stick empires, it may have been called) and that was awesome, especially with multiplayer having been added. Couple years later, around 16 or 17, I started drawing, just with pencil and paper, and making my own stick figure characters with their intricate and detailed backstories of course. Finally saw Fllffl fall to umbrella. Saw Hyun asleep on the plane that crashed on a beach. Saw the imitator Collab (which immediately solidified Shuriken as one of the best Animation syncers/Collab organizers) which became my favorite stick animation.

Then I grew up, got a job, bought a house, filled my time, stopped drawing. I'd look up stick videos every now and again, but never got into the groove I had waayyy back when. But just today at work, I saw the Doors game Kickstarter on the dojos community post, and thought that was awesome. I backed it, and watched a couple of the doors videos again to rekindle my memory of it, which led YouTube to continue to recommend more and more stick videos which I kept watching.
It recommended your tutorial video from seven years ago on how to do a combo animation, and I watched the first ~20 minutes or so as I laid on my couch, and I thought "I can't believe this is seven years ago. I wonder what Hyun's up to now". What are the chances you just started posting some little tutorial videos again almost out of nowhere? I went onto Amazon and finally bought a Wacom. This was all in the last hour or so.
I'm probably gonna suck at it and not do too much or make it very far into the learning process with the nitty gritty of animation, but it's something I've always wanted to do, so I'm glad I'm finally scratching this itch.
