I started watching Premier League in 2009. Chelsea just had this aura... everyone talked about Man United but Chelsea was so interesting to watch. Mou wasn't there anymore but he created a crazy team.

When he went to Chelsea, people asked how he would harmonize with Frank Lampard, as both were known as box to box midfielders who wanted to be the boss. It worked by pulling Lampard up to the number 10 spot and Ballack back to the number 6 spot and both adjusted to this.

This would also have seemed a model for the English national team, Stephan Gerard is even more similar to Ballack than Frank Lampard. But somehow it didn’t work there.
