How to Thread the Brother 1034D Serger for Beginners

Hi, I realize this is an older video, but I am having issues with my Brother 1034 D, I followed the correct threading and I replaced my needles...but it won't chain....the thread is wrapping around the removable thread finger...why? What can I do to correct this?

I just purchased my serger today and I threaded it today as well, but my thread kept getting tight and nothing would turn all I could hear is the motor running but there was nothing moving.When I moved the wheel manually the thread became tangled, please tell me what was I doing wrong?

Ok I followed your instructions on number 5 and I don’t know why the thread keeps breaking. I have to re-thread then it breaks again. I don’t know what is going on.
