Hey everyone. I'm am glad you all are enjoying the story so far. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask (however, I can't give away spoilers just yet, sorry). I will admit that I think this story is my finest work so far, and I'm confident that you will love the epic saga of Onyxia. As always, a big shout out to AllThingsDnD for making this narration possible. :)

DM: Black dragons are not very nice.

Player: I don't care I am going to raise it.

DM: it literally is naturally evil from birth.

Player: Did I stutter?

So basically Onyxia was born a rebellious teenage daughter.

Best role-playing dad ever. If any character deserved a chance to raise a black dragon, it was this guy.

You know raising a child is one thing but raising a dragon hatchling is a whole other challenge.

This story was a pleasant and interesting one. Can a dragon who's nature is evil and destructive be raised and become a good being through discipline, experience, and self reflection? Reminds me of Paarthurnax!

"I am dragon. I do not need a reason to kill. I do it for fun."

“What is better? To be born Lawful Good? Or to overcome one’s Chaotic Evil nature through great effort?”

Grandpappy Paarthurnax would be proud! Any chance we’ll get a future Way of the Thu’um subplot here? :D

Poor guy, raising a black dragon. This is so sweet.

It, almost feels like the story of the orc taking the possesed sword of a paladin and turming good after learning what good and evil truly meant

Onyxia was a hell of a lot harder to deal with than my character's 'daughter'. My character was present when an ice dragon hatched, and she just imprinted on my character like a duckling. She was ultimately named Névé.

I've never been keen on anything being labeled as inherently "good" or "evil."
While accept that certain creatures are inclined towards certain behaviors and natures, but I take umbrage with something being evil just because it exists.
While I understand that this is a game/narrative, real life is rarely so clear cut, so seeing an "evil" creature being raised to be something besides what its instincts want it to be is a refreshing change of pace.
