Bald Eagle Attacked By Flock (Murder) of Crows

preview_player
Показать описание

These are Fish Crows and are generally not migratory in the deep south and found near large bodies of water, but they have unique seasonal behavior. They seem to occasionally form up into large flocks like this in winter and disperse into breeding pairs and small families during the spring/summer breeding season. They make a ruckus when they move through. The only individual crows I see regularly are a small family that are most active during the breeding season.

That eagle must have killed a crow. Crows remember faces and hold grudges, and the whole murder will attack the thing that killed their pack member. Younger crows especially act this way, and they have a strong mob mentality.

This is why crows are so effective as a species. Most predators know that to attack and kill one crow results in being focused by the whole murder, sometimes in the hundreds. Humans are no exception.

This is awesome capture, dear friend! I will not be surprised, that the Eagle was under attack by the crows. I've seen them often chasing away the Eagle. I really enjoyed this awesome spectacle with such a huge crowd of the crows. Thank you for the pleasure. :)

Crows are like, Get him boys!! One thing about having noisy crows around, they’ll keep your hawks and owls run off. That’s a good thing if you have small pets.

Twice I heard a few crows freaking out in the bush behind my backyard and they wouldn’t stop. The first time I waited 10 minutes then went outside and could see a fox lurking in the bush. I have chickens and ducks and they were warning us of danger. I heard them a second time a few weeks later and went out immediately and there was another fox.

Ah, the beautiful, magestic Goodyear Blimp, floating languidly through our glorious skies. One of the most spectacular, and useful, members of our vast natural ecosystem. And such a rare sighting, unless one lives near a football stadium or some similar sports-related natural phenomenon.

Thank you for this. Oh, BTW, the eagle and crows were cool too.

You can tell the difference between American Crows and Fish Crows by their calls folks. Size is harder too distinguish because even though American Crows are slightly larger it isn't enough too separate them apart. American Crows have a distinctive CAW where as Fish Crows sound more "nasal" with a "waw-waw" sound. American Crows often have a larger repertoire of sounds. From rattles too drawn out caws among other sounds. As far as physical differences. Fish Crows have slightly longer pointed wings, where as American Crows are broader and more rounded. Fish Crows legs are shorter as well. They also can hover something i've never seen American Crows attempt too do in my 30yrs in the avian field.

Although eagles are bigger compare to crows but still crows are faster and smarter therefore this defines shiratorizawa vs karasuno

I watched a part of a documentary where a Steller's Sea Eagle went after a bunch of Black-legged Kittiwakes, and they behaved the same way to confuse the predator, since they try to single out one bird, and that's tough when there are so many. But Steller's Eagle won the chase and ended up catching one.
