How to make a Secret Base in the Grand Underground of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Pokemon Shining Pearl for the Nintendo Switch!

Once you get to Eterna City speak with the NPC inside the Underground Man's House to get the Explorer Kit, use this to go underground then come back up and speak with him again, this time he will tell you to find treasures hidden in the walls of the Grand Underground.

Do this then once you have succesfully dug up any treasure come back to him one last time to get the Drilling Drill which will allow you to create your Secret Base anywhere you want in the Grand Underground by presing "A".

I miss how back in the day you were able to decorate your base with a bed, fridge, plush dolls of Pokemon, flower pots etc. Now it's just statues or stickers...but I honestly find that boring. I also miss the Mulch lady, mulch was a soil to use before planting berries so you can have even more berries.

They really don’t tell you anything about the underground. It would have been nice if Roark’s grandpa gave you an instruction book or just replace the mystery gift icon with a go up option.

I feel so old that I actually had to literally LOOK THIS UP to figure out how to make a secret base and what all the little Digletts popping up all over the place meant. 😩 Took me back to the days in the 2000s where we had cheat codes, guide books and Action Replay for stuff. Now, it’s YouTube videos lmao.

…It’s definitely NOT 2007 anymore and I’m definitely NOT still in middle school playing the OG Pokémon Pearl. 😂 That said, this game isn’t perfect but I’m enjoying the nostalgia trip lol.

Once you pick a spot is it permanent because I made one and I thought I could make more and it would auto magically destroy old ones but once I used the digger drill it didn’t let me make more
