Years ago there was an article in a homeopathic magazine that said propolis has its own antibiotic properties but also increases antibiotics power by 50 -100%
I had a horse with an injury to his hock (elbow) that antibiotics was not clearing up. On the third round I used propolis tincture under his tongue (he didn't mind at all) 3x a day and he was healed and never had anymore issues with his leg.

Grandmas in Brazil gives you propolis for EVERYTHING. From an ingrown nail to strep throat! Haahahahaha. I have warm memories of it. Something very common is to mix propolis with honey ( about 1 or 2 drops of propolis per tablespoon of honey) and take 1 tablespoon of that mix 3 or 4 times per day to treat cough, bronchitis, and other respiratory problems.

In Brazil, Propolis is well known for its healing properties. It’s excellent for sore throat, strep throat, colds, and so on. First time I learn how to make tinctures with propolis… Great video!

Thank you for rediscovering propolis, even Antonio Stradivari used it as a conservative wood preservation for his precious violin’s

Hi
I don't mean to be disrespectful, but propolis tincture, if is not diluted right, its value goes to "zero" and I will explain why
I am a third generation beekeeper that come from one of the european countries, so I inherited quite a lot of info, in this particular case about propolis; I go by grams, don't use parts or any other measure, there is a reason why they call propolis 30%, 40%, may it be less, or more %, but I never go less than 30%-35% propolis and I calculate when I dilute in 200 proof or 95-100% alchool, not votka that is 50% alchool, and that mix with less alchool % to bring it to an average of 70% alchool and dilution.
If not extracted in 95% alchool or higher, you waste about 50-60% of your propolis, that 50% Votka is simply not strong enough to do the job;
I sell propolis tincture in large quantities to my costumers, I educate them how to use the tincture, may it be mixed in a jar of honey or just in drops doses, one should keep in mind, propolis tincture is used for different therapies in different doses, but the discussion about propolis benefits is a good thing you got going on.
I make sure we as a family use it, my kids seem to like it when I mix about 10cc in a pint of honey, that is what they can tolerate of the propolis taste, but they have been taking it every day for as long as I remember, it works, and american public should be educated more with regards to natural benefits of all honeybees products. Also, all the leftover sand-like stuff that remains after I strain the tincture thru a coffee filter, I remix with rubbing alchool and "paint" all my swarm traps with it, once the alchool evaporates, the smell of wax and leftover propolis entice new swarms to take ownership of that particular swarm box.
Best regards
Dan

This is a much better method than what I do with propolis. I usually just track it on my shoes onto the kitchen tiles and my wife yells at me! Haha!

I took it in capsules briefly, the mental clarity and overall sharpness is something.

You could try using a magnetic stir/hot plate to make your tincture. You could probably get it done in a few hours. I use them in a lab and they can make short work of tasks like that.

I’ve been thinking about trying to start a bee farm .. you are amazing for teaching people about natural remedies !!!

I think it’s amazing how Mother Earth gives us what we need ! A great example is how Mullen grows in abundance after a forest fire I believe that is mother earths way of healing the respiratory system for animals and humans after breathing in all the smoke . We live on an amazing planet . Thank you again ! You are appreciated !!

I knew propolis had lots of healing properties but I wouldn’t have thought to have made a tincture. Thanks for sharing.
