If your getting into canning I highly suggest the ball complete book of home preserving! I love crushed tomatoes and this is a easy way to get tomatoes processed without a lot of steps or equipment!! Super beginner friendly! I added citric acid to each jar before adding the tomatoes. You can also use lemon but I find that alters the flavor!

Girl! Your garden is keeping you busy this year. You should be proud about how prolific your garden has been this year. I bet your chickens have been enjoying some nice treats for it too.

The dehydrated skins as tomato powder is an awesome idea! 💡 better use even than putting them in the compost.

Hi! I love your videos, and I’ve noticed that you often have a lot of tomatoes. I'd love to share my tomato jam recipe with you. I really hope you try it because it's so delicious!

**Ingredients:**
- Tomatoes
- Sugar (use the same amount as tomatoes, e.g., 1 kg tomatoes, 1 kg sugar, but you can adjust it to your taste. I prefer toddy palm jaggery, though it might be difficult to find where you are.)
- A pinch of salt
- Water
- Limestone powder

**Preparing the Tomatoes:**
1. Remove the seeds. You can cut the tomatoes in half or leave them whole—I prefer to keep them whole.
2. Soak the tomatoes in limestone powder water for up to 24 hours. This will help firm them up.
3. After soaking, rinse the tomatoes thoroughly.

**Cooking:**
1. Place the tomatoes, sugar, and just enough water to cover the tomatoes in a pot. Cook until the syrup thickens. No need to crush the tomatoes.
2. Once cooked, sun-dry the tomatoes for about 5 hours. And that's it!

Enjoy, and thank you!

You have such a calm demeanor in your videos! I love them! I just picked up a second hand free greenhouse and am so excited to start growing tomatoes! I'm Dutch and it's too humid for tomatoes outside generally. I got late blight last year and built a tent for them this year. But next year I'll have the greenhouse! So excited! Your channel is such an inspiration!
