Please Tatiana, don't be like the other people that call these things 8K. They are not. They're not 4K. Just state the per eye resolution, if you want to be a go-to journalist for VR content. You can't just slap two "4K" panels together and call them 8K. We all know that, so please don't just repeat the marketing talking points. Be better than that.

2 4K displays is not the equivalent of 8K resolution. 8K is 7680 × 4320, which is like 6 million pixels more than that headset. 8K is 4 times 4K, not just 2.

Field of view is most important to me. Most VR headsets feel like looking through binoculars or a small ski mask. I'm not buying back in until the fov is much larger and at a good price

Bigger FOV os what I want the most. Got the Index, and I am not going to downscale for my next VR. Unfortunately I have waited a long time for an upgrade. Gogo Valve pleeeease :)
Also - we dont need 8K, it seem like overkill, and no GPU can run it anyway.
So for me, this headset is a no go.

Oh wow the way that flips up is Crazy, I'm constantly either taking my Q3 off or looking down thru the nose gap to make sure i'm not going to hit any walls, Flippin it up would be so much better

Thank you for the review and once again it was nice meeting you in Palo Alto. You answered questions I forgot to ask while trying the headset . I am waiting for the Pimax Super which will not require the base stations, an added cost, and will come with controllers as well, another added cost for the MeganeX. Yes, the Super is heavier and larger but should be better in clarity, sweet spot and FOV. I might be more inclined to get the MeganeX 8K if controllers were included. I did try their new flip controllers but they were awkward to use for me. Thank you so much for this excellent review.

Okay, now let me watch the rest. Keen to get one for lightweight SteamVR if the FoV is enough and especially for a family member who's interested in VR, but not in wearing helmet heavies. Costly hobby, tho'...
Okay, good video. I'm waiting for Pimax Crystal Super with wider FoV and eye-tracking with auto-IPD, (and actually waiting for Pimax 12K) but I might have to save up to get this MeganeX to share with my family member.

That diopter adjustment sounds too good to be true. I just don't see it being very accurate or working for a wide range of prescriptions. No one else has offered this yet on a headset. Not even Apple. Believe it when some glasses wearers try it

Glad to hear they will address heat. My biggest issue with BSB is swampy eyes. Doesn't feel comfortable nor healthy.
