My mother came from the Caribbean so she whipped me when I was bad. Bare bottom - which definitely makes a great impression. But I'm so thankful for her discipline! After one spanking, she used the opportunity to share about our sin nature and God's offer of forgiveness and I received Jesus as my Savior!

Great video! I definitely remember me and my little sister getting spankings with my Mom's hand and later the wooden spoon. Yikes! My Mom spanked our bare bottoms. Today I am grateful that she disciplined us.

Good video. My personal journey and conviction with kids is spanking only leaves an impact when they’re 3 years plus. Otherwise they mimic behaviour. I discipline them by having them by my side and teach them how to change their behaviour, explaining it in a way they would understand, if they keep misbehaving and I see they are aware and choose to misbehave then a spank will come along. It’s rare thankfully. My focus is on why they are doing it so I can shape their minds to be healthy and make healthy choices rather than always correcting bad choices. As a kid I remember being spanked regularly but I didn’t want to do that with my kids so it’s a rare thing in my house. My husbands voice carries weight when he verbally corrects our kids so they settle and listen instantly when he speaks lol

When I was a kid my step dad use to bust my butt alot. For a long time I felt like it was borderline excessive to the point of being abuse physical and mental. When I became an adult, I looked at it differently. He died in 2012 and I can honestly say that other then Jesus, , my step father was my best friend. He married my mom when I was 2 or 3. I also have 2 sisters. So when he married my mom he took on her 3 kids too. That man raised 3 kids that weren't his, and we never went to bed hungry . I think if him and my mom never got married things could have been alot worse for me my sisters and mom.

Please help @jarrod @candice! I work from home and I’m struggling to find a way to keep my kids entertained without turning the TV on. My eldest son is 5 in December and my youngest turns 2 in November. I really want to find a healthy way for them to pass the time during my 8.5 hour shift at my computer but if the tv is not on they are crawling all over me and or messing with my computer cords.. please help!
