Wagner revolt reveals a deeply unstable Russian regime | DW News

On Saturday, the Wagner mercenary force, which has led much of the fighting for Russia in eastern Ukraine, aimed its weapons, albeit briefly, at Russia's own military leaders. Wagner's head Yevgeny Prigozhin accusing those leaders of mismanaging the war.
In the span of a few hours, the Kremlin accused Prigozhin of being a traitor, Prigozhin called off the rebellion and the Kremlin said it would not pursue charges against any Wagner fighters or Prigozhin himself. But those terms are apparently changing.

Putin almost lost power and scared he called Prigozhin and offered him safety, money, etc. He was begging him not to go to Moscow. Now Putin acts like he crushed the rebellion. Did he?

I doubt anyone from Wagner will want to join the Russian military. They've seen firsthand how Russia treats its troops.

If Putin lost Wagner, he lost his influence and finances from Africa. He also lost his strongest military force.
Basically he lost power, not only for himself, but for Russia.
