I felt the same about Oranges are not the only fruit. I need to read the Sarah Moss book as I'm fascinated by Iceland!

You look like a glam witch in this video and I LOVE it. I'm really glad you liked The Red Ribbon! And I really enjoyed A Keeper as well - I really enjoyed Holding as well but I think you can tell how much Norton's writing has improved in A Keeper.

Strangers in Iceland is definitely going on my tbr! The Graham Norton already is, but is going up the list after hearing that review 😊 xx

That poetry collection sounds brilliant. I've coincidentally got Bricks That Built the Houses out from the library at the moment, which I know nothing of other than Kate Tempests name, I believe it's her first novel, so I'm looking forward to digging into that one.

I'm gutted to be missing cozy reading night this time around. But also excited because I'm going to be in the audience for The Last Leg!

I was lucky enough to get a proof of The Keeper in the summer and I just flew through it because it's very well written in that you keep wanting to see what happens next, so you just carry on reading it! The twists and reveals will be ones I remember for a long time.
I was impressed with him as a writer, I love his comedy, I was an early fan of his, but didn't know how he would write a novel, but he created a very enjoyable read.

I don't know if you have, but because you were talking about watching a Frankenstein adaptation, I would totally recommend watching 'Mary Shelley' (2017). It was such an amazing period drama. I've always wanted to read Frankenstein, but that movie made me pick it up and actually start reading it. I think you might enjoy the movie :)

I had no idea Graham Norton was writing! I really want to give A Keeper a try now that I've heard you describe it so excitedly haha

I must pick up Running Upon the Wires. I bought it on National Poetry Day after seeing it on your insta. I can’t believe I’ve still not read Frankenstein. I now must read A Keeper. Must, must, must. I had to mute you during the plot description. Imagine that.

Lovely wrap-up. That copy of Frankenstein is beau-ti-ful! I read Oranges are not the Only Fruit and loved it, she's such a great writer. Going to try to read The Tidal Zone next month because I still haven't read any Sarah Moss.

I've read tons of books this month, won't bother listing them all but it's been a good time. In particular I've been on a binge of spooky/magic-themed middle-grade fiction - got through _Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow_ by Jessica Townsend, _Frogkisser!_ by Garth Nix, _The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place: The Mysterious Howling_ by Maryrose Wood, and _The Girl Who Drank the Moon_ by Kelly Barnhill. So so good and of course perfect for the season. 😁🍂

I had the same experience with the first Binti book as you did with the second - just Did Not Get It. It seems I don't "click" with Nnedi Okorafor's books in general, I've tried several and not really liked them much.
