I know the video is a bit old, but my recommendation would be to create a roux with some butter and flour in a seperate pan, then add it into your meat and veggie mixture to create the gravy, instead of adding flower directly. With that said, its great to see game being prepared in so many different ways!

Hands down one of the coolest guys I’ve never met. Needs to head up to northern Illinois so we can go hunting on flat grounds haha

Do this but line the inside with homemade mashed potatoes and it makes like a Shepard's pot pie, really let's the gravy soak in and adds a buttery goodness to the bottom

Needs crust on the bottom too but looks damn good

I have two squirrels in the freezer right now. Is that enough for a pot pie? 🥧

Steve, I love your work and you have taught me so much about hunting and cooking. This video is the first time I have seen you swing and miss completely. That is not puff pastry, you don't have enough (or any) liquid in your pot pie, there is no need to put sugar in the crust and you cut the veg too small. I would still love to sit down with you and eat it anytime, anyplace.

What are the things that looks like grass in the background around 2:34

Steve, how did that ground meat turn out? With so much meat in the pan I'd expect it to just boil instead of brown properly. Pretty much no point in even putting it in the pan first if that's the case.

Is he growing wheat grass in the background?

No, the whole thing must be contained in crust.
