It works to drive them out too. Don't use cotton balls though. Use round makeup remover pads and saturate them. Put them in various places where you're seeing them. Peppermint oil can get gooey with time so put the pads on a piece of tin foil. You don't want to damage anything.
You can also put some oil in tiny containers like a cap from a juice container. Straight peppermint oil works and you need to put enough around so that you're really smelling it.

My house is spotless clean, .. I live alone and only eat in the kitchen and behold I have mice. I hired a professional pest control company and he placed bait in and around the house and then I had green poop. He's been doing this for over 6 months and the mice still here. I used peppermint oil and that works but they move them to another location within the house so I spray the whole house and it work until the smell runs out. I bought two oil diffuser and use peppermint oil that works in that particular room but in other rooms green poop and the peppermint oil is too expensive. The plug in do not work. I have tried EVERYTHING on this Utube channel. So I tried ammonia and that definitely work but just in that area. So, now I have peppermint oil in 2 rooms, ammonia in the other rooms but I can't take this ammonia every night and I can't put in every room. So, my final decision is a CAT.

I had to figure something out and I mean very quickly too, I got tired of cleaning up their feces every morning. I had read many times before that mice hate peppermint scent or any mint scent for that matter, since I was spraying ammonia at night on surfaces and decided to stop because it was causing respiratory issues for myself, so after using peppermint oil water mixture in a spray bottle and spraying surfaces in my home that they would frequently visit, they stopped coming to those areas that were sprayed!!! Unbelievable but it works brilliantly.

I've done this, it works, but you have to keep it up to repel them for good.

I spray, water, white vinegar and peppermint oil around the crevices and along edge of floor, in cabinets. It repels, ants, spiders and mice. Smells good too. I spray inside and out 1x per month or two. We rarely see anything and zero ants and zero mice.

Get rid of them by targeting their nests, and baiting drawers, closets, under appliances etc. Once they're gone, create a house-wide barrier by spaying peppermint oil onto the return air filter of your central heating/air unit. This will distribute the fragrance throughout your home and drive them out and away for good. Use gently though as peppermint oil is very concentrated.

I have been using it for years in cars I don't drive all the time and it works for me great.

I made a fumigation device with an incense oil burner using peppermint mouthwash.
I set it up in an area where mice were evident, (mouse droppings) I cleaned the area where I found daily evidence & set it down.
I had to top up the mouthwash a couple of times within the space of one month & within that time, there have been no more visitors, peppermint mouthwash actually works!😊

I tried using peppermint oil last year and it really worked. Really dazed them. Unfortunately I was only bought a 5ml bottle and was unable to continue and I resorted to using sticky paper. Which also worked by not as effective as peppermint oil. I just bought a bigger bottle from the mall today. Hope those pesky rodents (in my Yosemite Sam voice) would go away for good. Another nice thing about the oil is that it makes your house smell nice.

I had a mouse walk right by an open bottle of peppermint oil. It had absolutely no effect and the mouse continued his tour in search of food. Moral, --it doesn't work

I used the peppermint oil and had mixed results. For about three days after peppermint in the drawers and under the sink I didn't see any signs of mice. I put snap traps in the drawers with peanut butter as the bait and caught 2 mice the next day.

Mice don't hang around if they don't find any food. Make sure your house is cleaned well....make sure all your foodstuffs are properly packaged and placed in containers that mice can not access. Having a cat helps a lot, some namby-pamby indoor cat with no front claws: get a REAL "adopted from somebody's horse barn" kind of cat....works every time.

I've used peppermint oil for my apartment and I noticed no mice, luckily I have two huge mouse hunting cats, and the combination between the two worked very well for me. I need to reapply once a week. I didn't use cotton balls when I applied I just put a generous amount of drops in all the places where I've seen them or evidence of them. Peppermint oil is not the cheapest oil so whenever I didn't replenish quickly they would come back. I have to find another method one that is more long term.

Thanks for this video
I recently started using peppermint oil, however, I mix it with water in a spray bottle and use it wherever I think mice would or could enter snd I think it’s working fairly well 👍🏼

Thanks for tip. Mice hate peppermint and makes your house smell nice. Just bought pure peppermint tea bags so I'll give it a go and get that oil too. Mice are clever little things so give them peppermint!

I already tried this, but for me it doesn't work, I bought a big bottle and I was very generous, I placed it where I see them all the time, to the point that my eyes were crying, they still there. I tried the moth balls, it works for a day or 2, same thing. I need something more effective. thanks for trying to help us
