Exploding battery causes fire after car crashes into house

A car crashed into a Middle River house Monday morning, which caused its battery to explode, erupting into a fire. Neighbors said it sounded like a bomb went off, and when they stepped out their front doors, they wouldn't believe what they saw. Massive damage and a charred front are what remains of the home at the end of a Middle River cul-de-sac. No one was home at the time.
