I have tried tinkering with this for a week now and seriously cannot get it to work. Once I get it running, no shadows are showing up and the light is not omni-directional

Question: if you use a "qube map" than you will have overlaping areas right? Also the corners of that map are not "exact" probably?
Would it be possible or maybe better to have a 2 pherical maps one for each hemisphere? or will the shades be to much distorted converting back from the spherical shadow texture to the view?

So what if you have multiple point lights? Do you just do the same thing for each light? And if there is 1 (or more) directional lights too?
