Seeing women being able to defend themselves/their children is the best thing ever. Gun ownership is heavily restricted where I live (UK), but firearms really do close the strength gap between the sexes, and levels the playing field (if you're proficient and know how to use it well) . I just have to hope and pray that something bad doesn't happen to me whenever I leave my house.

I hope Americans, particularly American women, realise how fortunate they are to live in a country that upholds their right to defend themselves.

One thing I’d like to see you touch on, John, is that this family had other security measures in place as well. They had a planned response, they had security cameras, and probably had some decent locks that not only bought her valuable time to get to her firearm but also shows beyond a reasonable doubt that she had exhausted all other deterrent options and had to resort to lethal force. It is much easier to defend your actions to the authorities and in the courts than if the only home defense measure you have is a firearm. If she had not had this camera system then her argument would be less concrete, and if she had weak locks, then the intruders may have been able to get in easier and earlier. The firearm should be part of a complete home security system. Excellent job, Mama Bear 🇺🇸

Could not be random. They had to have targeted the house as having a single woman at home. Kicking in a door of an occupied house in SC is the dumbest thing you can do unless for some reason, you think you can overpower the occupants. They had that reason because they scouted the property.

Knew a guy that shot a home invader after he broke the door down then got prosecuted becaue he shot the invader BEFORE he set foot in the home. Messed up
