55,000 postal workers are on strike after negotiations between their union and Canada Post came to a standstill.

Its hard to sympathies with CP workers when me as as small business owner who makes less than 20k per year is the one who has to take the brunt of the strike. CUPW has even been on record that the point of the strike is to affect small business's... IDK how they expect to get sympathy when their punching down like this.

These losers have basically been on strike for years anyway. Id sooner give a raise to fast food employees than postal workers who ring the doorbell with an attempted delivery notice ready in hand. Purolator, DHL, and dragonfly are the only ones around here that actually care enough to deliver things.

Get rid of all letter courriers. Nothing makes it to the door except for junk mail or people living in the stone age getting bills in paper format. Everyone can get a registered C Post online account and have a digital mailbox that shows whats waiting for you at the post office. If you dont pick it up in time it should just get recycled or you get a charge for it being returned.

Makes zero sense paying people to deliver coupons.

If you want something delivered to your door, pay a courier that can actually do it.

Yes your raise is below the inflation rate, so is everyone’s else’s salaries! At least everyone else tries to do their job unlike CP who delivers junk mail and failed delivery notices instead of actual packages. Give me a break! That entire corporation needs to be dismantled. Thanks for now affecting small businesses all across the country, but I rather pay a little more and get an actual delivery, instead of “ooops we lost is” (at least 5 times in 2023, nothing missing in 2024 because we avoided CP)

COVID changed the world for the worse but these ppl seem to think it’s just life as usual! 😳 So this is just going to make things worse! Happy Day….
