How to take a picture of your computer monitor screen, known as a screenshot, screen grab or screen capture, with the FREE Windows 11 Snipping Tool. Overview of features and settings including snipping modes, time delay, markup tools, crop, touch writing, snip outline border, and multiple snip settings. In this video we are creating a Windows 11 Quick Reference Guide and we want to insert a screen grab of the Snap Layout hover menu. We can do this using the Snipping Tool time delay feature. To capture part of the screen, I use a small free prog SnapaShot.

This is dreadful when compared to Windows 10. We cannot get a snip or screen capture of and pop-up menu of the desktop options. Unlike in your demo of doing this within an application, if you try this on the desktop itself the timer delay works, but when we try to select the rectangle it activates the screen and the pop-up menu vanishes.
We are back to having to take photos of the screen with snartphones. It’s really buggy in Win11 😢
