As a citizen and resident of Punjab... I can assure you that the majority is talking about AAP winning the election and it may not be surprising to see them win a clear majority in Punjab. People of Punjab are frustrated with the Akalis and with the Congress infighting this year they are now skeptical about Congress as well and they seriously need change across the board.

Honestly I get really disgusted when all this data analysis based on caste creed religion etc is done. But that is the sad reality on ground and that is how elections are won. I have one question though to Shekhar, how is this analysis or predictions based on caste divide different than Yogi's statement on 80 V 20? That too is a data point if you look at it in his POV.

The ground water table in Punjab has been depleting at the rate of 1 m per year. Punjab will become almost to a desert like area in few decades due to exploitation of ground water for agriculture.
Punjab govt's outstanding debt by March 2022, will at 2.82 lakh crore. Nearly 40% of the state’s total estimated revenue receipts of Rs 95, 257 crore for the current fiscal would go into total debt servicing.

Sir ji, as someone who usually finds your content informative, this one was appalling. It feels as though the voter surveys had only one column (caste-religion) and are too lazy to add any more. Can we have vote share based on issues please! And, maybe( wishful thinking!), how the issues changed over elections? This is one of the wealthiest states, are you saying nothing else apart from caste-religion matters? Not even the performance of the incumbent?
