Also, when they first entered, the way everything was positioned and how the "figure" was "moving" it can looks more like a doorway with light coming out of it then just a figure.

I was just watching so react videos and realized that the man that Sam saw at the conjuring house when he was outside alone looks like the cowboy for the Stanley Hotel. This may be a stretch but maybe the cowboy is attached to Sam????
