Unbox, Test, and Review of the Kasa Smart KL130 Smart Light Bulb.

The Kasa Smart KL130 is a great entry-level smart bulb! Without breaking the bank, you get a smart light bulb that is easily controlled via app, compatible with a number of smart hubs (Not Required), and has most all the features you would expect from this type of product. The Kasa Smart KL130 is controlled by the Kasa Smart App (available for Android and iOS), and can produce 850 lumens of light (a 60-watt incandescent equivalent). No need to worry about a spike in your energy bill, the KL130 only draws 10.5 watts and has an extremely low estimate for yearly cost.

The KL130 offers plenty of ways to choose a color or white color temperature. On the main screen, a small selection of color options (those which are closest to your currently selected color) appear. Tap “more colors” to get a grid of 88 options that span the color gamut. If you need even more refinement, a complete color wheel gives you even more control over your selection of hue.

For white light, you can choose from a range of eight preset color temperatures from 2500K to 9000K. The auto-white mode lets the bulb shift white color temperature over the course of the day. At around 20 bucks a bulb, the KL130 is a moderately good deal compared to other name-brand options. However, if you go off-brand you may find a significantly better deal.

I've been searching all over the internet looking for a light bulb that has a color temperature of 8000K or 9000K. They are rare and hard to find. This light makes my 6500K lights look warm. Another thing I like about smart bulbs is that I can control the color saturation. Because sometimes I like having just a tint of color.

I wanted to make my light to change color in certain pattern. I have tried setting up few scenes but didn’t work. Not sure if there is such option in my KL135 light. If there is please let me know how to set that.
