For any who is curious how Ichigo won the fights in the Soul Society arc (Spoilers for TYBW ahead)

With kenpachi's backstory known he was heavily holding back his true power so he can enjoy his fights, but It wasn't only Kenpachi holding back.
Before Ichigo got his shinigami badge his powers were fluctuating hard. Old man Zangetsu which was his Quincy power was the center of his power back then and kept giving him as much power as he needed to win, but if he gave him all the power his body would have broken down.

So it was a combination of Kenpachi holding back and Ichigo powering up too fast by Zangetsu with no limit of the Shinigami badge

Renji has been the lieutenant of the 6th squad from the VERY BEGINNING, THIS FIGHT PROVES IT, THEN WHY IS IN 109 EPISODE HES SUDDENLY BEING "PROMOTED" TO BEING A LIEUTENANT FROM SIXTH SEAT OF THE 11TH
WHAT IS THIS CONFUSION, SOMEONE EXPLAIN IT TO ME.

Ichigo should have lost all these fights except Renji tbh . Ichigo was so weak here . Only person he could beat was Renji . Ikkaku could of killed Ichigo with his bankai
