This anime really is a masterpiece. Although you know that Isla is going to be gone, you just keep watching, driven by curiosity and doubt. However, watching their mutual feelings blossom somehow opened a door to your heart. You feel really happy, but in the same time you feel the sorrow knowing that the happiness will not last long. You can see Isla and Tsukasa's smile throughout the series, funny and humorous. But the sadness is still there.
The ultimate scene at the Ferris Wheel, where everything is flushed. Feelings, favourite moments with each other etc.
Just like when you have 30 days to live, you would make amends and spend all of it with your loved one(s). You laugh, you smile, you just have so much fun, but the knowledge of your death still lingers.
That is how you learn to appreciate the one you cherish the most. We often take them for granted, because no matter how conscious you are, as long as you don't know about your death date, you subconsciously think that you have a lot of time more.
Also, when we know something we care or love deeply is going to disappear, especially a person, you shouldn't be overwhelmed by sadness becauss you know its going to end, but you should also be happy because you get to spend time with that person before they go. As the saying goes, don't be sad because it ended, be happy because it happened.
One of the best animes I have ever watched. Goodnight Isla, may you one day be reunited with the one you cherish <3

I usually don't really go on about commenting on here, but this anime really pulled my heart strings, and this comes from somebody that doesn't genuinely cry about things. But even though this story is considered a tragedy, it made me reflect on how we should cherish the ones we love and who are close to us, becasue we all have our own limited time, and we should always make every second count. And even though so many other people commented this exact thing, there's a reason why so many of us share the same thoughts. Thanks for this wonderful anime ❤
