7 Strange Side Hustles that Pay $1,000+
📞Want 1 on 1 Mentorship from Bryan?
I’ve seen so many bad side hustle videos recently…recommending things that will just waste your time and definitely not help you make any money.
From Filling out online surveys…to spamming affiliate links in Reddit forums…to donating plasma 7000 times a month. There’s no shortage of poor ideas.
So in this video we’re going to cover 8 Side Hustles you can ACTUALLY do (this month) to make some extra cash.
Most of these are ones you probably haven’t heard in a lot of these side hustle videos. They might even seem strange to you….but they’ll actually work….and they’ll actually pay you.
1. Advertise for companies on your car.
Whether you’re eligible for this will depend on how much you drive each month…and not everyone obviously wants to do this, but it’s a legit option almost anyone can do to make extra money every month (assuming you have a car).
The app Wrapify will pay you to drive with a business advertisement wrapped around your car. Once the car is wrapped, you really don’t have to do anything except drive around town like you normally do.
The more you drive, the more you’ll typically earn. And this app tracks how many miles you’re driving. It also helps connect you with companies that are willing to pay you to advertise on your car.
And you can even schedule your appointment to get your car wrapped all after you sign up….it’s really easy.
According to them, the average person who does a full wrap on their car makes about $264–452 a month (which could cover your car payment!).
2. Doing tasks for people
This is a practical one. It’s not some flashy new bs method to click links online or fill out surveys that will never pay you. This works.
If you’re unfamiliar with task rabbit or handy, they’re apps & sites you can get paid to do all kinds of things on
(from knocking down bee’s nests, to picking up groceries for the elderly, to helping people move, to yardwark, to putting together furniture).
These are all examples of pain points that people either don’t want to do….or can’t do.
I just put together a dresser from IKEA…and no joke that thing was like adult tetris for 5 hours.
It was time consuming and waaaay more complicated than it should have been. So moving forward I might be hiring someone to put my furniture together on one of these sites myself.
Not the sexiest side hustle in the world….but for sure one of the most practical.
There’s no reason you can’t make a few hundred dollars minimum a month on this site doing an extra side job or 2….and you could probably make a lot more if you really wanted to!
3. Deliver for Amazon.
One of the only companies that’s had a consistent demand for more employees over the past decade….is Amazon.
When most people think of working for amazon they think of slaving away in a fulfillment center somewhere.
But you can actually drive for Amazon….in your own vehicle….set your own schedule….and work as much or as little as you want (which makes it a PERFECT side hustle you can turn on and off just like uber….only you don’t have to constantly talk to people).
They claim their drivers make up to $25/hour (which isn’t bad at all for a part time gig you can CHOOSE when you want to do or not).
If I was younger or needed some extra money from a side hustle, this might be one that would really appeal to me.
I could drive around in the comfort of my own SUV & get paid…..all while I was able to listen to audiobooks, youtube videos, or courses to try and improve and add new higher income skills to my arsenal.
I’m not just saying this b/c I’m trying to make it sound appealing in my video….I genuinely believe this is a great side hustle for A LOT of people.
4. Rent out your stuff.
No, I’m not talking about renting your house out on air bnb….or renting your car out on Turo.
I’m talking about renting out all the stuff you have that’s laying around the house….or in storage….just collecting dust.
There are several apps and site out there that connect you with people looking to rent out specific things. Fat Llama is a perfect example of one.
Then people will pay you to rent them out for an extended period of time….which is a win win for both of you.
