I'm 78 years young. Been listening to music since the beginning of the Beatles. This is the first time I've heard this. How could I have missed this ? It's like meeting an old friend that i haven't seen in a long time.

Two greats here. Alvin Lee didn’t receive the recognition he deserved.

I love Alvin Lee. I drove 60 miles to see him when I was 16. Alone, but not when I got there. Phenomenal performance. You were never alone at a concert back in those days. Im 70 now and still remember it so vividly. He was masterful.

George was so great on slide and always overlooked for his tone and emotion on guitar! RIP both of you!

I used to jam along with this song as a 25 year old kid pretending to know how to play the blues, fourty years later i'm still pretending....

I am from Afghanistan, and when I came to America, my first albums were from the Beatles and Elvis. In my teenage years I devoured everything from the 60's and 70's. When I first heard Alvin Lee play I was blown away. I think he's an underrated guitar player, but one of the best in rock history. 😢

Totally majestic, this song hits you right in the guts. George's solo is inspiring and flows so easily and then Alvin kick's in and plays a solo that befits this being a total masterclass in writing, singing and guitar playing, it's truly up there with the greatest blues songs, two guys now no longer with us but what a legacy they left us.... My god it's both brilliant and awe-inspiring RIP boy's your likes are sadly missed today..👍👍👍👍👍👍

An incredible duet and a reminder of what we too often forgot: how intuitive and soulful a guitar player the great composer George Harrison was and how great and underestimated a blues-soul singer the great Woodstock Guitar slinger Alvin Lee was. Perhaps the single greatest post-Woodstock pairing of these Woodstock generation icons. These two played, composed, and worked in great combos ( I saw and heard Harrison playing with a young Robben Ford), and Lee, I feel, felt compelled to duke it out with his generational rivals. But here, Lee and Harrison leave all of that hoo hah –- the weight of their legends, the weight of their fame, the weight of fans' demands, even the long shadows of Lee's and Harrison's shared influences (Leadbelly, Big Bill Broonzy, Elmore James, et al.). and get to the core, the essence of it all.

Here Lee forsakes the guitar shootouts and the trepidation of doing right by his mentors, and Harrison leaves his compositional fastidiousness; together they achieve a heart-breaking intimacy, a meditation on loss, awakening, redemption. It is an astonishing performance. And then we realize the utter devastation in the loss of Lee and Harrison:Oh, we always knew they were great. But now we truly realize WHY.

Simply incredible tear jerking unbelievable absolutely top of the charts for me. I am 66 and absolute addicted to this kind of music. My youngest son (30) has the same music taste as I have. He looks like me (the poor boy😝). When we are discussing music, movies etc he alway tells me he is genuine jealous because he is is convinced growing up in the 60th/70th was awesome. Looking back in time, I don’t disagree with him. 😊

I would never have guessed that they played together, but what a beautiful combination, I feel like I have found a hidden treasure

Alvin elevated the song to the next level when he invited George to add his out-of-this-world solo. The contrast worked beautifully. Two different styles, one masterpiece.
