My garden has been resting for two years. In 2023 my beloved husband got very ill in March and passed away the end of August. I totally had to let my garden go even tho some of it was planted. In 2024 I still couldn't get out there and even clean up. I did nothing but cry a lot. This year I'm cleaning up the homestead and planting my gardens again. Refurbishing chicken coop, planting more fruit trees and all kinds of berry bushes. Adding six more nut trees. And the gardens will flourish again, God willing. Blessings to everyone here from east Kansas.

I have a widow friend raising 2 teenage girls who let her farm ground rest last year and I watched God provide for her all year. He is faithful to the faithful. She was nervous but He showed up! Praise God!

I'm married, but I homestead by myself. Husband "tolerates" my prepping but is very passive about prepping and taking care of things. Has absolutely no motivation, no interest in learning anything or being the lead on anything. So, I've stopped asking his opinion and just do it. Whatever "it" is. He's in for a wakeup call when shtf, and sports is no longer on TV.

The angel comment toward the end triggered a recent memory for me. I went to a nearby town to do some farm shopping, and I decided to eat breakfast at Cracker Barrel. An elderly gentleman (Relatively speaking, as I'm in my mid-60's! ;)) was sitting on a bench and truly looked down and out. He asked me for a dollar, but I told him I'd buy him breakfast. So, we went in the restaurant, and I sat with him while he waited for his carryout order of steak and eggs with extra eggs. When he left, I looked for him to walk by the windows of CB. I never saw him go by (That would have been the direction he said he was heading.) Maybe he went around the backside of CB. am thankful God has provided the means to help such folks, angel or not. No one can out-give the Father in heaven if you are willing to prepare, listen, and obey! To Him be the glory!

I have been taking my husbands old shirts and sweatshirts and making my grandsons clothes. Fabric is to costly. The boys love their new shorts and cargo pants!

Getting my 20cans this weekend. I earned the gift cards and do it this way. I paid off $1;200.00 door from January and today its paid off. I am close to paying off SUV three more payments. C.c. 2 will be paid off in June. Have 2 more.. I have been foolish at times with my money. I am only human but not too big that I can't over come because of Jesus

I am taking this year off from outdoor gardening. I was repeatedly told through a variety of signs to seek higher ground, and I listened. I moved away from the coastal city and moved up to the mountains. I'm just getting my house in order and researching greenhouses. Listen, listen to that voice even if it is just a whisper.

My daughters and many of my friends Think I am over reacting and being ridiculous for stocking up on food and water.. But I just saw on the news where the EU is
Telling everyone to stock up on food... I don't know if they are paying attention to that either.. I believe the lord is trying to warn people but they are not listening..😮😮..

A HS friend I've known for 54 years freaked out on me last week! He called to visit, then vented his TDS! He put me on the spot. When I wouldn't agree with him, he got upset with me. I may lose a long-term friend if he does it again because I won't allow myself to be bullied like that!
